In The Kitchen

I would like to share with you some of the kitchen pieces that I love to use. Designing my kitchen was an absolutely pleasure for me. I enjoy cooking, and have been doing it for a long time. My family loves my food, which is truly the motivation that keeps me interested in the process after so many years. In my opinion, food brings us together and gives us an opportunity to open a conversation. For my family, it has always been extremely important that we have meals together, especially after a long work day or when my two sons are home.

It is very important to me to have a functional and beautiful kitchen equipment. I appreciate the esthetics of my pieces; I like to be able to display them in the kitchen. Keeping it in the simple, neutral color palette is very helpful and makes this so easy.

Some of the pieces in my current kitchen are vintage, like the oversized marble cake stand, and the others I have been collecting over the years. My newest pieces are more modern, such as my favorite china plates, bowls and cups from Serax of Belgium design by Piet Boon.

My kitchen was designed for functionality. It was important that everything had it’s own place and I could easily grab it. That's why even my pots are displayed throughout my kitchen. I love to use Staub cast iron pots. The quality is wonderful, and they look beautiful– of course mine are white and gray.

For me, it is always about functionality and design. I hope that you enjoy my recommendations for your own kitchen.
